ARTICULO sobre la Inmigración

This article is written by 4 erasmus students, coming from different countries and living in Madrid for several months. Because the experience of living abroad inspires them, they decided to write an article about immigration. It will start very large with an explanation of the phenomenon of immigration in general, and will then get more specific with the a case study of Madrid and finally a merge of their four stories and the way they lived their Erasmus experience.

Dit artikel werd geschreven door 4 erasmus-studentes, komende uit verschillende landen, om verscheidene maanden in Madrid te komen leven. Aangezien ze hun inspiratie uit het in het ‘buitenland leven’ haalden, is het centrale thema van dit artikel het fenomeen van ‘immigratie’ geworden. Een trechtermodel zal gehanteerd worden. Eerst zal het fenomeen van immigratie zeer algemeen worden uitgelegd om dan tot het specifieke geval van Madrid te komen. Op het einde zullen hun eigen ervaringen samengebundeld worden tot een tekst als afsluiter van dit artikel.

Este articulo fue escrito por 4 estudiantes Erasmus, procedentes de diferentes países y que viven en Madrid durante varios meses. Debido a la experiencia de vivir en el extranjero que les inspira, que decidieron escribir un articulo sobre la inmigración. Se iniciara muy grande con una explicacion del fenomeno de la inmigracion en general y, a continuacion obtendra mas especifica con un estudio de caso de Madrid y, finalmente una fusion de sus cuatro hristorias u la forma en que vivio su experiencia Erasmus.

Cet article a été écrit par quatre étudiantes Erasmus, venant de différents pays, étant à Madrid pour y vivre pendant plusieurs mois. Vu que l’expérience de vivre dans un autre pays les inspire, elles ont décidé d’en faire le sujet principal pour cet article. L’article commencera d’une façon très large, une définition du phénomène de l’immigration sera donnée. Après cette première partie le cas de Madrid sera analysée et pour finir le résumé de toutes leurs propres expériences sera donné.

One of the most colourful barrios, but in a different way than Lavapies.  Lavapies is colourful because of the mixture of cultures, languages, dressingstyles. Malasana is colourful because of its excentricity. There are no conventions in Malasana. Old and new get to know each other through the presence of new designers and vintage shops. Fashion blooms. Malasana is also very known for its typical, cosy vintage bars.

The most logic way to start this description is to start with la Puerta del Sol, were all the measurements start from zero. The author of the book ‘A Cultural History of Madrid: Modernism and the urban spectacle’ describes the Puerta del Sol as a place filled with contradictions. It is the gate where the traditional, authentic and modernisation clash. The old and the new come together and need to form a hole. It is not the place where you can come to rest and meditate. It is loud, filled with people, shops, tourists and thieves.[1]

La identidad de Madrid

‘Madrid es una ciudad que permite la doble nacionalidad, puedes empezar a ser madrileño cuando llegas a la estación de Atocha, pero sin dejar de ser andaluz, gallego o catalán. Y nadie puede imaginarse a los madrileños desfilando al son de un himno de Madrid o detrás de una bandera de Madrid. Madrid es una ciudad completamente abierta, es un mestizaje absoluto, y ojalá siga así!, porque eso a mi me parece fantástico para la capital del Estado. La capital del Estado tiene que ser abierta y no tener un carácter excluente ante nadie.'
